This conversation will be about the social responsibility of each individual. Is it a desire, an opportunity or a duty? Social norms do not demand that we care. Philanthropy and good deeds are always a personal initiative. Individuals decide for themselves what they will get involved in and whether it’s worth getting involved at all.

Research suggests that only 5% of people are innately humane and not inclined to aggression, while another 5% will always be “on the dark side.” The other 90% are neutral and will follow the majority. So how can we nurture ideals? How can we at least make those around us care? Who should nurture the human spirit: the family, school, the church, or government? This is what we will be discussing.
